The Program Planning process is part of what makes the League a grassroots organization: each League member has the opportunity to help decide on the issues where we will focus our time, talent and money next year. In the League, “Program” includes both education and our advocacy work. Locally, our Program guides the topics for our General Meetings and for the studies and briefings we may undertake.
Our Local Program Planning process has three steps:
All members are invited to make program recommendations to the board. (This is what we are doing on May 1 at our Program Planning Meeting.)
The LWVSL Board considers member recommendations and develops a proposed program, which we will email to all members.
The proposed program is formally presented at the Annual Meeting and must be approved by a majority of members present. (The Annual Meeting is on June 1.)
Please join us as we take the first step to plan for 2024-25. The meeting will be held virtually.
